To use healthpilot services you must be at least 18 years old and a resident of Canada. Certain tools or paid features may have additional eligibility requirements; where applicable those requirements are described alongside the feature.

Users must be 18 years of age or older to create an account or obtain personalized guidance from healthpilot.

You agree to use our services only for lawful purposes and not to submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information when using healthpilot tools.

healthpilot's services are intended for users located in Canada. Accessing the site from outside Canada may be restricted for some features due to local regulations.

Account terms

Creating an account with healthpilot gives you access to personalized plan comparisons, saved profiles, and communication preferences. You are responsible for maintaining accurate account information.

You must provide accurate and current information. Incorrect or outdated data may affect the relevance of plan recommendations and any administrative communications.

Protect your account credentials and do not share your password. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access to your account by contacting support.

Accounts are personal and non-transferable. You may not allow others to use your account unless explicitly authorized by healthpilot in writing.

If you believe your account has been compromised, contact support immediately at +14162813021 so we can take steps to secure your account and advise on next steps.

We reserve the right to suspend or disable accounts that violate these terms or pose a security risk, with notice where feasible.

Service description

healthpilot provides informational tools, comparison services, educational content, and referrals to insurers and consultant to help Canadians navigate health insurance options. We do not issue insurance or act as an insurer.

Features and content on healthpilot may change over time. We may add, modify, or remove services and will update site content to reflect those changes.

While we strive for reliable access, service availability may be affected by maintenance, third-party providers, or technical issues. We aim to minimize disruption and will publish notices for planned maintenance when possible.

User rules

When using healthpilot, you agree to comply with the following acceptable use rules to maintain a safe and helpful environment for all users.

• Do not submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information.
• Do not impersonate others or access accounts you are not authorized to use.
• Do not upload or distribute harmful or illegal content.
• Respect intellectual property rights and do not post copyrighted material without permission.
• Do not attempt to disrupt or interfere with the operation of the service.
• Follow applicable laws and regulations when using the platform.
• Do not use healthpilot for commercial distribution or resale without prior written consent.

User content

You may post reviews, comments, or other content to healthpilot. By submitting content you grant us limited rights to use it and accept responsibility for what you post.

You retain ownership of content you post, subject to the rights you grant healthpilot below and any applicable law.

By posting content you grant healthpilot a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, reproduce, and display that content to provide and promote the service.

You are responsible for ensuring your content does not violate these terms or applicable laws. We may remove content that breaches rules or is otherwise objectionable.

healthpilot may remove or disable access to user content at our discretion if it violates these terms or for legal compliance.

Intellectual property

All site content, logos, and materials provided by healthpilot are protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy or use our activity or content without authorization.

• Do not reproduce or redistribute site content without explicit permission.
• Do not use healthpilot activity or branding in a way that suggests endorsement without consent.
• Respect third-party rights and obtain licenses where necessary for content you upload.

Paid services

healthpilot may offer paid features such as in-depth plan consultations, consultant referrals, or premium comparison tools. Paid services are subject to separate fees and terms.

Pricing for paid services is described on the relevant product page. Fees are in Canadian dollars unless otherwise stated and are subject to applicable taxes.

We accept payment via the methods listed at checkout. Payment processors may have their own terms which apply to the transaction.

Subscription services renew automatically until cancelled. You can manage or cancel subscriptions from your account settings or by contacting support.

Refunds are considered on a case-by-case basis according to the nature of the service. If you have concerns about a paid purchase, contact our support team to discuss available options.

You may cancel paid services or subscriptions as described on the service page. Cancellation terms for partial periods are specified with each product.

Applicable taxes are added at checkout and are the responsibility of the purchaser. Rates may vary by province.

We may change pricing for paid services; existing subscribers will be notified of changes according to the subscription terms.

Failure to pay for paid services may result in suspension of access until payment is received.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, healthpilot is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the service. Our liability for direct damages is limited to amounts paid for the specific service that gave rise to the claim.

Third-party services

healthpilot may refer you to third-party insurers, consultant, or tools. We are not responsible for third-party actions, products, or service quality; contracts you enter with third parties are between you and that provider.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to all or part of the service for violations of these terms or for operational reasons. Users may close their account by following the account closure process.

Upon termination you will lose access to account data and paid features. We may retain certain information as required by law or for legitimate business purposes.

Privacy

Use of healthpilot is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect personal information. The Privacy Policy is incorporated into these terms by reference.

Communications

By using healthpilot you agree to receive electronic communications from us. You can opt out of marketing messages at any time; transactional messages related to your account or paid services may still be sent.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms of Service. When significant changes occur we will provide notice on our site and update the effective date. Continued use after notice constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of Ontario courts.

Disputes

If a dispute arises, contact us to try to resolve it informally. If a resolution is not reached, disputes may be handled through the courts as described in the governing law section.
